What this book is about:
This children’s book is about a creature named Nobody and his journey to become a somebody.
What I liked:
The illustrations are cute and the story has a good message – it just takes one person to go from feeling like a Nobody to feeling like a Somebody.
What I didn’t like:
The wording got a bit clunky and when I tried to read it out loud, I tripped over it a bit. I’m not sure this is a story I’d enjoy reading over and over to my kids because of that.
Overall thoughts and opinions:
I think it’s a cute book and good for kids.
When the Nobody feels EERRRGH, I think kids will understand that better than trying to explain the feeling using real words.
It’s also a great conversation starter for parents to talk about when kids feel like the Nobody and when kids feel like the Somebody. It’s also a great place to start to talk about how to BE a Somebody when they see someone who looks like they might be feeling like a Nobody.
I give this book 4 stars due to the clunkiness in the middle.
